Reality Bites!
I know I haven't posted anything in a while because to be honest I'm getting tired of talking to myself. The reality of the situation is that none of my friends and family have supported my blog or even bothwere to buy my book. So should I give up on my blog? Should I keep talking to myself? I can't let one monkey stop "this show". The reason I started this blog was because I felt like I had something to say. Something to add to the discussion of thing called life. So I'm going to keep going. If I have to keep talking to myself so damn what! It doesn't matter if I get any support. I speak life over myself. Believe in yourself. I have to admit that when I got my book in my hands and saw the typos I missed I had a melt down. I stopped believing in myself. Until today. No my first book is not perfect but I am proud of myself for doing it on my own without any help. Truth is I did need help. Lesson learned. I refuse to let my mistakes question my abilities. You can't steal my joy
After receiving my very first book in my hands I shouldve been on a high for days. Well sometimes people attempt to steal your joy. The devil is a liar. I felt my mood shift. And luckily I have good people around me who pulled me back into the light. No my book is not perfect. I see some typos that I can't believe I missed. Then I let fear and doubt set in. I had to shake the devil off. Because I am proud of myself. And I refuse to allow the enemy steal my joy. I am now a published author! And I'm proud of myself. Thank you Jesus!
I finally got my corrections done on my book. Faithisms. Its been a rough road. Self publishing is costly. And I ran out of money. The book is not perfect but I did my best. I didn't know what I was doing and I was basically on my own. I am proud of myself for following my dream. But let me tell you. God did this. I had hit so many road blocks. And I told God that this must not be my time. Although I continued to pray about it I began typing up book number two. And I was confident God would work it out. And truth be told I rarely give God a problem and not take it back. Glad I did this time. I got an email that I was getting a free round of corrections. That was nothing but God. To God be the glory! I can't stop crying. My heart is so full! I'm not worthy but thanking God for His grace and mercy! Can I get a witness? Blessings, Peace and Prosperity!
Taking digs
Sometimes the people closest to us tend to take their little digs out on us. That is an insecurity within them. Its hard not to take it personal because it is. They are personally attacking you and its a personal insecurity with them. Know that you are beautifully and wonderfully made. And I can guarantee you that there are many qualities that you have that they wish they had. Love is the only thing that will cancel out hate. And thats what haters do. So let them. And love yourself even more. I would suggest that you say thank you for that dig. Just so that they know you are completely aware of what they just did. No one likes to be called out especially when their intention is to make you feel bad.

So many people are saying rest in peace to Whitney Houston. So why don't we? The media is filled with all the negative things Whitney has been through. A friend even said to me that she knew better. How dare we? My response was we ALL know better. The only difference is when Whitney messed up it was public knowledge.
